The North Hobart Community Association formed in early 2020 to provide a voice for residents and others who engage with the precinct. This voice was specifically needed to contribute to the City of Hobart's North Hobart Place Vision and Access & Parking Plan project, through which Council was exploring options for the North Hobart retail and entertainment precinct.

The project has now moved into its next stage, which is to create a Neighbourhood Plan. The Council released the North Hobart Neighbourhood Plan Discussion Paper in September 2023. It encompasses the 2021-22 community consultations that many of you contributed to. It also fits within a range of draft precinct and neighbourhood plans for Greater Hobart.

Please have your say in this critically important phase of planning for our neighbourhood:

• Complete the online survey by 30 September

• Register for a community workshop: 5:00–6:30 pm on Weds 20 Sept. or 10:00–11:30 am Thurs 21 Sept at Swan St Uniting Church,

• Visit a pop-up stall: 4-6pm Fri  7 Sept, cnr Pitt and Elizabeth Sts, and 10am-12pm Sun 23 Sept, Swan St Park on cnr with Elizabeth St.
